Project Description

Winter Park Welcome Center

The Winter Park Welcome Center is the City’s most celebrated public service building. Established in 2005, this $1.5 million Federal Style public service facility acts as the “front door” to thousands of tourists visiting delightful Downtown Winter Park annually. The Winter Park Welcome Center is also the home to the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and provides multiple “Community Rooms” for town meetings, debates, and tour groups.
Design Architect, ACi Architects, provided spatial needs programming, site planning, architecture, interior design and cost budgeting. The Winter Park Welcome Center successfully met city budget and functionally requirements from city, civic, and community leaders to develop a sense of civic pride, strength and dependability, which represent the City’s heart and soul.

“ACi Architects ability to go from a global view to the most intimate details, while considering the pros, cons, and especially the political and economical feasibility of our projects has not only impressed me but has give me a greater understanding about the ramification of real estate redevelopment strategies, design and planning standards.”

– Chip Weston, Former Director of Economic and Cultural Development, City of Winter Park
