Project Description

Peabody Orlando

(Now Hyatt Regency)

The expansion to the Peabody Orland (Now Hyatt Regency Orlando) existing 850-key hotel and convention complex adds a new 31-story tower that contains 750 new guestrooms, bringing the total count to 1,641 guestrooms including 120 suites. The hotel’s meeting space contains 210,000 square feet of flexible technology-rich meeting space, a pillar-free 55,000 square foot Peabody Orlando Grand Ballroom and 80 deluxe breakout rooms with full media capabilities. It also added a new 22,000 square foot full service, luxury spa, and new lobby. A 7-story parking garage for 2,100 cars is also a new addition and replaces the existing surface parking.

Opened in 2010, the Peabody Orlando has the best location to the 7 million square foot Orange County Convention Center. The hotel is connected via a skywalk also designed by ACi Architects that runs from the convention center directly into the hotel.

ACi Architects were hired by the Peabody Hotel Group Chairman, Martin S. Belz, to design the project and provide construction documents with the Owner’s coordinating architect-of-record, interior designer, contractor and other multi-disciplinary consultants.

“Whether your project is a niche-market boutique hotel or mid-to-large scale product, I can sincerely say that ACi Architects has an excellent grasp of creating a one-of-a-kind, cost-effective design.”

– Alan C. Villaverde, President/Peabody Hotels Division, Managing Director/The Peabody Orlando
