The retail component of the project, featuring restaurants, shops and galleries sets the base and acts as the architectural cornerstone for the development. The coastal architectural design features clean lines, large glass openings under colorful fabric awnings and colonnades. Directly above the retail, a large open terrace where residents can sit outside under plantings and umbrellas, giving a thoughtful expression of place-making in the midst of bustling activity.

This helped the owner, architect and community successfully create a unique destination experience for downtown Maitland. The City’s approval process emphasizes great principles of city planning, urban design, zoning requirements and community engagement.
